How We Work

 

There are many things that make us unique. The main thing, though, is that we put quality above everything. Our classically trained master craftsmen work with only the finest quality wood, using their experience to design you a final product that is nothing short of outstanding.

 

There are four steps to working with us:

  1. Get in touch! Yes, it really is that simple. We can’t bring your dreams to life until you reach out and tell us what you want. At this first stage, we will ask you some simple questions to get an idea of your wants and needs
  2. Site visit. Another way we differ from others. Where necessary, we will come and visit your garden to get a proper feel for the space. This gives us an insight like no other into how we can make tailored furniture to suit your personal brand
  3. Design and development. This is where we get really creative. We will work by your side to take your bright and brilliant ideas and get them down on paper
  4. Last, but certainly not least, we will take your plan and literally bring it to life. We will build your product, put it through rigorous inspections to ensure quality, and then deliver it right to your door

Jerome’s team took on a very challenging task of reupholstering an Ottoman for me with my own fabric. They took so much care, and there was such great attention to detail. Jerome and his team has just completed the recovering of eight large leather dining chairs and a full set of fabric outdoor furniture (chaise, sofas and 10 dining chairs). These had all been owned and used for many years and we had feared they would require replacing. Not so! Jerome collected sad looking furniture and delivered back what looks like brand new replacements. We wanted to recycle some modern leather dining chairs rather than replace them but we couldn't find the right contact who we trusted to do what we needed - we found Jerome and he immediately understood what we wanted and gave us some great advice and ideas. I had three pieces(a sofa and two wing chairs) to re-upholster which had never been in the same room together before. Mr. Shorter took pictures of the pieces and the carpet they had to coordinate with and gave me some design ideas. This did not work. He recommended stores where I could obtain swatches of fabric. After numerous attempts on my own Mr Shorter came again to my apartment and selected fabrics I had not thought to combine. A perfect choice and I could not be happier with the result-a fresh, colourful, contemporary design for the entire room. Excellent reupholstering for old furniture. I highly recommend Mr. Shorter to anyone who wishes to add new life to one or more pieces.
